About Tumwater Residents Directory

Tumwater no longer has one printed book naming everyone in town. Instead, resident clues are divided among parcel files, voter records, recorded deeds, and more than a century of county directory holdings. We organize those public sources by the question they can answer. A name, street, phone number, or former address can then lead to the correct custodian, search tool, or library collection without mistaking one type of record for another.

Why We Built This Reference

Although printed Tumwater directories ended, the records behind them remain with different keepers. The Thurston County Assessor and Auditor handle property and recorded instruments. Election officials control voter information under Washington law. Historical volumes and county series are held by libraries and archives. Finding a current public clue or tracing an older household can require several offices and websites. We bring the verified search routes, custodian contacts, known coverage dates, and access limits together for Tumwater research.
